Bugherlac, Unique Bronze Sculpture by Velasco Vitali, 2018
€4,800.00
A curious and expressive bronze sculpture by Italian artist Velasco Vitali. Titled Bugherlac, the work depicts an imaginary bird-like creature. A long, curved beak gives the figure its distinctive profile. Below it, the body unfolds into a dense arrangement of textured and irregular forms, almost resembling roots or tangled branches. The bronze has a beautifully varied surface. Dark brown patina sits alongside golden highlights and greenish traces of oxidation. The result feels raw, organic and slightly otherworldly. Vitali was born in Bellano, Italy, in 1960. His artistic practice spans painting, sculpture and installation. He represented Italy at the 2011 Venice Biennale. An original unique piece, dated 2018. Material: Bronze. Size: H 26 cm
