A Japanese Makura-byōbu — a low, four-panel folding screen — painted with cranes gathered beneath a full moon on aged, crackled paper, circa 1950s. Set in a lacquered wood frame with brass hardware. Small and light enough to stand on a console, sideboard or table, or to hang flat against a wall as a piece of art. In very good condition, with the natural texture and gentle patina typical of the paper and its age. Height: 91 cm. Width: 182 cm (fully open, four panels).
